The Ibanez GA5TCE combines a nylon-string classical guitar with a slim body and cutaway design. The thinline construction provides a comfortable playing feel, while the cutaway gives easier access to the upper frets.

A spruce top and sapele back and sides provide the acoustic foundation, while the undersaddle pickup and AEQ-2T preamp allow the GA5TCE to be amplified for live performance. An onboard tuner is also included.
